Case knowledge across your whole workers' comp caseload
Amber builds a profile of every case from its documents and email, so anyone at the firm can ask about one case or the whole caseload and get an answer that points to the record.
New cases set up for you
When a new client folder appears on your drive, Amber opens the case and builds its profile from the documents inside: applicant, employer, carrier, ADJ and claim numbers, injuries, doctors and QME panels.
- Every document inside is read and indexed on the way in
- Cases can also be opened by hand
Medical record summaries
Amber pulls the diagnoses, treatment, restrictions, medications and imaging out of every medical record, with the page each came from, and lays them out in visit order.
- Each entry links to its page in the record
- Edit, hide or add entries before you export to PDF
Caseload view
One sortable table of every case in the firm: case status, QME status, hearings in the next 28 days, depositions, the email digest, the client’s latest check-in and who owns it.
- Sort by any column
- A week strip of upcoming events across the top
Firm-wide questions
Ask across the whole caseload: every case with a given doctor, carrier or defense attorney, a lookup by ADJ or claim number, cases with no email in 30 days, or one document drafted for many cases at once.
- Search by name, date of birth, doctor, carrier, employer, ADJ or claim number
- Filter by QME status, case stage or attorney
Case value estimate
Amber rates permanent disability from the reports, with the FEC, occupation and age adjustments, combines body parts with the Combined Values Chart, applies apportionment, and adds TTD and future medical to give a low-to-high range.
- Every step shown, so you can check it
- Compare the range to a defense offer
- An estimate for negotiation, not a formal rating
Case status from the file
Amber works out from the documents and email whether a case is active, settled or dismissed, for example from an approved C&R or Stip, and keeps it current. You can override it.
- Settled cases stop getting QME reminders and packet suggestions
Client check-in log
After a client call, staff answer three questions on the case: is the client treating, receiving benefits, working. One page shows every case’s latest check-in and flags any case with no call in 30 days.
- Latest answers for every case on one page
- Stale after 30 days
Your firm’s playbook
Save how your firm does things, like preferred doctors, adjuster contacts and procedures, and Amber uses it in every chat. It also remembers each person’s preferences and corrections.
- Save a note from chat with “save this for the firm”
- Per-person preferences, which you can ask Amber to forget
Statute lookups
Ask for a Labor Code section or regulation and Amber looks it up on legal sites like Cornell LII, Justia and the California legislature’s site, and links the source.
- Links to the source
- Definitions from Cornell LII
