Document drafting for California workers' comp firms
Amber drafts the routine letters and packets of an applicant practice from your firm’s own templates, filled in from the case file. You review every draft, and you send it.
QME advocacy packet with medical records index
Ask Amber to build the QME packet and it picks the case’s records for the evaluator, writes the cover letters to the QME and to defense, and compiles everything into one PDF with an index page and bookmarks.
- Records grouped by category and facility, with a treatment timeline
- The QME letter describes the worker, the job, each injury and the claim status
- Warns you if the records-service window has already passed
Physician designation letters
Ask for a 4600 letter for a doctor and Amber fills your template with the applicant, employer, ADJ and claim numbers, dates of injury and the right recipient. It looks up the doctor’s address in your firm’s notes and only asks for what it cannot find.
- Goes to the adjuster until defense counsel appears, then to defense counsel
- Future dates, like an appointment, are asked for, never guessed
- An editable Word document plus a draft email
Objections to medical reports
Point Amber at a treating doctor’s report and it builds your objection packet: it reads the author, facility and date off the report, attaches the report, and adds the proof of service.
- The objected report goes in as an attachment
- Proof of service built in
- Draft email to the other side
Panel QME strike letters
Amber reads where the panel stands and picks the right letter: a strike, a strike back, or a unilateral selection when defense missed its turn. It stamps each struck doctor on the panel in red and builds the letter, the marked-up panel and the proof of service.
- Struck names stamped on the Form 107, with who struck them and when
- Refuses to print a proof of service with nobody on it
- Cover email to defense counsel or the adjuster, as a draft
Your own Word templates
Amber works from the Word templates your firm already uses. Mark the blanks once, like {{applicant_name}}, and Amber learns what each one means and fills it from the case. Packet templates combine several documents and attachments into one send.
- Your letterhead, your wording, your signature block
- Fields like the ADJ number and today’s date fill themselves
- Packets with slots for attachments, like the panel or an objected report
Edit Word documents by asking
Tell Amber what to change in a document, in plain English, and it edits the real Word file: text, tables, headers or comments. You see the before and after in the chat.
- Small, clear changes apply right away, with an Undo button
- Checks with you before changing a dollar amount or deleting a paragraph
- Every edit saves a new version, so Undo restores the old file
